InGenius Festival


The Writers’ Forum launched the InGenius Series in 2009 as an annual festival of short and full-length plays developed and produced by member writers. Full-length works included the award-nominated, soon-to-be-published, Any Day Now by Nat Cassidy, Likeness by David Caudle and Retrospective by Joan Tewkesbury. Short works included plays by Richard Vetere, Montserrat Mendez, L. Pontius, Vanda, Bill McMahon, Vincent Marano, Laura Schlachtmeyer, Ed Malin, John Watts, Pamela Yaco, John McKinney, Paul Jordan and Jennifer Thatcher.

In January 2010 the Source produced InGenius 2010, as the Forum’s 2nd annual festival of short plays. New works included productions of The Party Continued by Alaina Hammond, The Train by Ed Malin, Taxi Dreams by Carolyn Boriss-Krimsky, Life in ¾ Time by Susan Laubach, God is a Puerto Rican by John Watts, The I Factor by John McKinney, Things Change by Natalie Bates, Violins by Jonathan Kravetz, Buddy Boys by Vinnie Marano and Zap Belly by Renee Rankin.
