Who We Are
Launched in January 2008, The Writers’ Forum at Manhattan Theatre Source is a weekly think-tank for writers. Our mission is to support and develop new dramatic work from “page to stage” in a professional atmosphere, wherein new short pieces or full-length plays are presented, discussed and critiqued by fellow writers, actors and directors.
In January 2009, The Writers’ Forum presented the InGenius Series -- our very first annual festival of short and full-length plays. Full-length works included the award-winning, soon-to-be-published, Any Day Now by Nat Cassidy, Likeness by David Caudle and Retrospective by Joan Tewkesbury. Short works included plays by Richard Vetere, Montserrat Mendez, L. Pontius, Vanda, Bill McMahon, Vincent Marano, Laura Schlachtmeyer, Ed Malin, John Watts, Pamela Yaco, John McKinney, Paul Jordan and Jennifer Thatcher.
