ED MCNAMEE - Operational Committee & Founder

Ed McNamee portrait ~ Personal Motto ~
Blinking isn't going to stop the punch!

As one of the Founding Directors Ed helped to sculpt the space, the message, the model and the culture that we now know as The Source.

As a playwright and lyricist Ed is most proud of his musical, “La Gioconda,” about Leonardo Da Vinci's relationship with Mona Lisa, which played at Theatre Row last June.

He has also completed a new kind of “musical novel” called “Peregrin the Aeronaut,” written entirely in rhymed verse with songs – currently in development as an audio book!

As a marketing professional, Ed has developed marketing strategies for scores of theatre productions at every level from Off-Off Broadway to Broadway, including creative promotions for Bring in da Noise, Grease, and Chicago. Before focusing on theatre he honed his skills in the corporate and academic worlds creating marketing programs for Advanta Corp., College Savings Bank, and the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science.

As the Resident Set Designer for the last 3 seasons Ed has become known for his ambitious approach to such productions as Arcadia, The Cherry Orchard, La Gioconda, A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking, The Collapse, The House of Bernarda Alba and Dennis LeHane’s World Premiere Coronado.
